    Open Vigilbase One

    Notifications

Send Vigilbase OS cases, approvals, action outcomes and coverage alerts to Slack or Microsoft Teams channels.

Vigilbase OS is in preview. Features and connectors are still being validated with customers and may change before general availability.

Vigilbase OS sends notifications to Slack and, where available, Microsoft Teams, through native apps. Notifications contain minimal, redacted summaries and link back to OS for review. You need the notifications.manage permission.

    Connect a workspace

    1. Open Settings, then Notifications.

    2. Under Workspaces, choose Add Slack or Add Microsoft Teams. Add Microsoft Teams appears only when Teams is available.

    3. Approve the app in Slack or Teams, then return to OS.

The workspace appears in the list with its status and recent delivery failures. To disconnect it, remove the workspace.

    Route notifications to a channel

    1. Under Routes, choose New route.

    2. Choose the Workspace and the channel.

    3. Pick a preset or choose kinds yourself. Presets are Security team (restricted, Medium+) and Daily summary.

    4. Choose Notification kinds and a Minimum severity.

    5. Choose the Channel audience. Restricted (security team) or Broad (minimal summaries). Broad channels never receive entity names or evidence.

    6. Choose Create route.

Notification kinds are: case opened, case updated, approval needed, action progress, action outcome, coverage degraded and digest.

For Slack routes, choose Send test to check delivery. In Slack, invite the Vigilbase app to the channel first, or the route is disabled.

    When a route is disabled

A route is disabled if its channel no longer exists, is archived, the app is not allowed to post there or the workspace was disconnected. The route says why. Fix the cause, then choose Re-enable.
